Eligibility

You are not eligible to enter and will be disqualified if:
1.) You are assisted by a food professional, such as a chef, food writer or food home economist who created recipes for pay.
2.) Anyone in your immediate household is employed by Fresh King, Inc. or supplies Fresh King, Inc. with produce or services.

Rules

Recipes must be newly created or have been significantly changed from any previously published recipe and must use at least one of the required products, such as limes or Florida avocados.  Enter as many recipes as you'd like.   List every recipe ingredient (including garnishes) with the exact measurements and complete directions.  Include an entry form for each recipe submitted.  By submitting your recipe, you accept all contest rules and agree to be bound by the decision of the judges, which will be final.  All entries become the property of Fresh King, Inc.  By submitting your entry you also agree that your entry becomes the property of Fresh King, Inc. and they reserve the right to edit, adapt, copyright, publish and use any or all of them, without further compensation.

Entry Deadline

July 4th for limes and avocados.  Fresh King, Inc. must receive your e-mail by midnight July 4th.  You may also enter by sending your recipe by mail to:

All entries received by mail must be printed on a 5" X 7" piece of white paper and must be received by July 4th.  No responsibility can be assumed for lost, late, misdirected, damaged or postage due-mail.   Those wishing acknowledgement of  entry must have included a self-addressed, stamped envelope.  All entries sent by e-mail will be confirmed by an e-mail response.

How the Recipes are Judged

Recipes are judged for: 1.) Taste and appearance; 2.) Quick and easy preparation; 3.) creativity.  Entries must be original recipes of the contestant.  Judges will disqualify previously published recipes, such as those in major cookbooks, in magazines, from food companies and winners in national contests, unless the recipe features changes considered significant by the judges.  Each finalist will be required to certify, on information or belief, that his or her recipe has not been published or publicized and has not won a national contest.  Judges will be selected by Fresh King, Inc.

Winners

Winners will be notified by August 18th by phone and registered mail.  Each winner will be required to sign a release giving Fresh King, Inc. full rights to use the finalist's name and likeness for contest related advertising and publicity.  All taxes are the full responsibility of the winners.
